HMRC / UK: Due to the COVID-19 crisis payments of British VAT are postponed
Are your liable to British VAT and due to pay between 20 March and 30 June 2020? Then please notice that payments can be postponed until 31 March 2021.
Reporting deadlines to HMRC remain the same. Businesses able to pay in time are requested to do so.
Do you pay VAT via Direct Debit then contact your bank directly to retain and cancel any scheduled payments.
You yourself are obligated to comply with the new payment deadline 31 March 2021.
